If you’re gifting to someone who’s new to the idea of wine tasting, then our Sparkling Tasting Flight, at £30, is a great place to start. This experience, held in our tasting rooms at the Appledore estate, lasts around an hour. The Sparkling Tasting Flight includes Brut Reserve, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs – all of which will be poured by a knowledgeable host who’ll be on hand to answer any questions. We occasionally have different tasting options to choose from, which include both still and limited-edition wines. Our Sparkling Tasting Flight doesn’t include a vineyard tour, but we have a self-guided walking route around the vineyards that you’re free to enjoy whenever we’re open.
For a vineyard experience at their own pace: Picnic, £90 for two people
If you’re shopping for someone who loves relaxing in the great outdoors, then a leisurely picnic in our vineyards could be just the thing. Our hampers, £90, are designed for two people to share and contain a bottle of perfectly chilled Gusbourne Brut Reserve alongside a mouth-watering selection of cheeses, charcuterie and homemade treats. Picnics are available from April onwards, so – even in the winter chill of December – your gift recipient can start dreaming of sunnier days to come in 2024.
For an indulgent food and wine experience: Estate Tour, £100 per person
Designed for those who want to step behind the scenes at the vineyard and winery, our Estate Tour is our most popular experience. Your gift recipient will join us at the Gusbourne estate in the morning for an expert-guided tour of the vineyards. This will be followed by a guided tasting and a delicious three-course lunch prepared by our Head Chef Anthony Coppard. Each dish will be expertly paired with a recommended Gusbourne bottling, proving that good food and good wine always equal more than the sum of their parts.
For access to our fine, rare and limited-edition wines: Icons Experience, £155 per person
The Gusbourne Icons Experience is an incredibly special wine-tasting and four-course lunch, held in one of our intimate tasting tooms at The Nest. This is the perfect gift for those who love English wine and want to understand more of its complexity and depth. Your gift recipient will enjoy an expert-guided masterclass with access to our finest library wines. They’ll have the chance to sample late-disgorged, rare and limited-edition bottles – and gain insights into the winemaking decisions and vintage conditions behind them – before sitting down to a lavish four-course lunch.
