During a guided tasting, our team will introduce a selection of Gusbourne vintage sparkling and still wines, discuss your menu and guest numbers, and help you choose wines for the welcome drinks, wedding breakfast and toast. Book your appointment 

Can you help us pair Gusbourne wines with our wedding menu?

Yes. Gusbourne wines are incredibly gastronomic, served by leading hotels and Michelin-starred restaurants. Our team can recommend pairings for each course. This might include Gusbourne Rosé with a starter, Chardonnay or Pinot Noir with the main course, and Blanc de Blancs for the wedding toast. Recommendations will be tailored to your menu.

Which Gusbourne wines are best for a wedding?

Gusbourne Brut Reserve is a versatile choice for welcome drinks and receptions, while Blanc de Blancs offers an elegant option for the wedding toast. Gusbourne Rosé works particularly well with canapés and lighter starters, and our vintage Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can be paired with the wedding breakfast.

How much wine should we order for our wedding?

The right quantity depends on your guest numbers, menu and how the wine will be served. Our team can help you estimate the number of bottles required for welcome drinks, the wedding breakfast and toast, helping you order appropriately for your celebration.

Can we order both sparkling and still English wines?

Yes. You can create a mixed wedding wine order combining Gusbourne’s vintage English sparkling wines with our still Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and English Rosé. Our team can recommend wines for each stage of your wedding day. Please note, some of our still wines are available only in very limited quantities and we are not able to offer preferential pricing on still wines. 

Can Gusbourne wines be used as wedding gifts or favours?

Yes, absolutely. Gusbourne wines make a memorable gift for members of the wedding party, parents or guests. Single bottles, half bottles, magnums and selected wines in gift packaging are available, subject to vintage availability. We'd be delighted to help organise Gusbourne for gifting: we can include complimentary gift cards and free UK mainland delivery if you are sending thank-yous after the wedding day itself.  

How far in advance should we order our wedding wine?

We recommend selecting your wines once your menu and approximate guest numbers are confirmed. Ordering early provides the widest choice of Gusbourne wines and allows time to coordinate delivery with your venue or wedding planner.

Is there a minimum order for wedding wine?

No. There is no minimum order for Gusbourne wedding wines. Our team can help you calculate the right number of bottles for your guest list and select wines for each part of your wedding day. We may be able to offer preferential pricing on larger orders of more than 60 bottles; please get in touch for details. 

Can you deliver directly to our wedding venue?

Yes. We offer complimentary UK mainland delivery and we can coordinate arrangements with your venue or wedding planner. For deliveries outside of mainland UK, please get in touch. 

Do you work directly with wedding planners and venues?

Yes. Our team can liaise directly with your wedding planner, caterer or venue to confirm wine quantities, menu pairings and delivery arrangements. We also work with venues interested in serving Gusbourne wines across their wider wedding offering.

What is included in a proposal at Gusbourne?

Our private proposal experiences take place in a secluded setting among the vines at Gusbourne in Appledore, Kent. The space is prepared before your arrival, with a chilled bottle of Gusbourne wine and two glasses ready for your first toast.

Each experience also includes discreet assistance from a member of our team, a Polaroid photograph, a Gusbourne gift to take home and an invitation to return for a future engagement anniversary. Our Classic experience features Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs, while our Prestige experience features Fifty One Degrees North.

When can we plan a proposal at Gusbourne?

Private marriage proposals are available at Gusbourne throughout the year, subject to availability. Our team will help you choose the date, time and vineyard setting for your proposal.

Can a photographer attend our proposal?

Yes. Professional photographers are welcome by prior arrangement. Please let our team know in advance so that access can be coordinated while keeping the proposal a surprise.

Gusbourne is located in Appledore, Kent, within easy reach of Ashford and the Kent and East Sussex coast. Wedding Wine Consultations and private proposal experiences take place at The Nest, our vineyard destination on the estate.
