Reserve Rosé

Reserve Rosé Twenty Twenty Four

Gusbourne Reserve Rosé 2024 is a richly textured, gastronomic expression of Pinot Noir, crafted from hand-harvested fruit grown in our Mill Hill Middle vineyard.

Vibrant rose-pink in the glass, the wine opens with opulent aromas of raspberry, melon and peach. The generous palate is brimming with red cherry, red plum and raspberry, complemented by tropical fruit and bright, zesty orange citrus. Subtle spice and toasted notes develop into a delicious hint of custard tart, while a silky, creamy texture carries through to the long, refreshing finish.

The wine was fermented and aged in French oak for 11 months, bringing greater depth and complexity.

An excellent wine for the table, it pairs beautifully with dishes such as a traditional fish stew or crispy pork belly with pineapple, ginger and soy.

TASTING NOTE

A vibrant rose-pink colour in the glass, with opulent notes of raspberry, melon and peach on the nose. The palate is brimming with red cherry, red plum and raspberry, alongside more tropical fruits and bright, zesty orange citrus, leading to slightly spicy, toasted character and a sweeter custard tart note. The wine feels rich and generous, with a lovely silky, creamy texture leading to a long, zesty finish.

VINTAGE REPORT

The overarching story of 2024 was a wet and challenging vintage - but painstaking work in the vineyard was rewarded with a small yet mighty harvest. Following a wet winter, budburst was on 26th March (earlier than 2023) and flowering was on 18th June. The weather was characterised by frequent rainfall interspersed with mild weather. At harvest, we were rigorous in our quality control - bringing in micro-parcels of fruit at peak ripeness and in a beautiful condition.
