The run up to Christmas at Gusbourne is always a story of contrasts. Our warehouses are a frenzy of activity. Gifts to pack. Orders to ship. Step outside, though, and the vineyards are the picture of calm, quiet and serenity.
And – like fine wine – life is at its best when it’s balanced. So, with the graft behind us, it’s time to take a leaf from nature’s book. To draw breath, to draw inside and relax. After all, we’ve quite a year to reflect on.
Although good news seemed thin on the ground in 2022, we’ve been incredibly lucky at Gusbourne. The weather was kind, the vines thrived, and – as a result – we have a cellar full of wonderful vintage wine gently maturing. I’m very proud of all the team’s achieved.
I’m also incredibly grateful to you for all your support. Knowing that our vintage wines are being enjoyed makes everything we do worthwhile. So, however you’re celebrating this Christmas – noisy and chaotic, or calm and serene – I’d like to take the chance to thank you for letting us add some sparkle to the season.
