To celebrate 20 years since our first vines were planted, we’ve created a Blanc de Blancs vertical tasting case.

Mary Bridges, our Head Winemaker, and Laura Rhys, Master Sommelier, re-tasted each bottle in this line-up in January 2024. You can find their full tasting notes below.

Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2014

Light golden with a delicate mousse, this beautifully mature wine has a nose of peach and sesame, orange-driven citrus notes, along with ripe pear and melon. The palate is equally lush and exciting with yellow apple, vanilla, ginger and pithy tangerine. The use of oak here adds further detail and complexity with notes of vanilla, crème pâtissière and custard tart. The finish is round and creamy with good length.

The finish is complex and notable with good length.

Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2016

This is the first vintage of our Blanc de Blancs to include fruit from Selhurst Park vineyard in Sussex. The nose here is honeyed and tropical, with citrus and yellow apple alongside rich buttery pastry, sweet spice, vanilla, nutmeg and pain au raisin. The palate is every bit as rewarding with intensity and richness, ripe citrus, stone fruit and almonds. This is very poised, with weight and freshness, lovely length and elegance.
