The IWSC trophy completes a record year at international competitions, with Gusbourne having received seven gold medals in total. In terms of awards 2015 has been the most successful year for the Estate to date. This news follows shortly after the recent announcement of an excellent grape harvest at Gusbourne.
Andrew Weeber commented, “Our wines are terroir-driven, understated and with a minerality and saline character that sets them apart. For us it is the detail that matters; from the meticulous pressing of our fruit, through the blending process, to post disgorgement ageing. Receiving this trophy is a very proud moment for the Gusbourne team and is yet another highlight in what has been an extraordinary year for us.”
