Welcome to Gusbourne
In 2004, when the first vines were planted at Gusbourne Estate, we had a clear vision and a single goal: to create English Sparkling Wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe.
An uncompromising quest for perfection and a fastidious approach to detail is at the heart of everything we do. We ensure only the best grapes are used in our winemaking by growing and hand-picking them ourselves. We present an authentic reflection of a time and place in each of our bottles, by producing exclusively vintage wines that are unique to each growing season.
Our tasting room, The Nest, is open all year round and we extend a warm invitation to anyone who wishes to enjoy the picturesque Kent countryside for a tour, tasting and to enjoy our award-winning English sparkling wines.
Below you will find a selection of our sparkling wines for members of ISO Luxury to enjoy and also information about an exclusive tour of Gusbourne Estate available only to ISO Luxury members. We hope to welcome you to our vineyards soon to enjoy all that Gusbourne has to offer.
Blanc de Blancs 2015
A wine that typifies the linear purity of classic Blanc de Blancs, this is our flagship wine and the truest expression of our terroir. We select the finest lots of Chardonnay, exhibiting natural minerality, ensuring that the wine has both the finesse and elegance that one would expect in this style, but also the requisite qualities for extended ageing. A bright golden colour with a delicate mousse, our Blanc de Blancs has classic Chardonnay aromas of green apple, citrus and mineral notes combined with buttered toast and Tarte Tatin richness from extended lees ageing.
Our Rosé is unique to each growing season, a direct reflection of English summer and the grapes used to craft it. Delicate pink in appearance, with soft summer berries and floral notes on the nose. The palate shows bright red fruits, driven by ripe strawberries, fresh cherries and redcurrants, with a crisp freshness and creamy, rounded texture on the finish. We like to think of this as the perfect expression of halcyon days.
Blanc de Noirs 2016
Displaying great finesse in the glass, our Blanc de Noirs is expressive on the nose with fine-tuned notes of dried candied fruits and violet flower. It is characteristically deep and complex, rich and powerful. It is a wine that holds your attention with serious appeal. Crunchy, crisp cox apple, fresh cherry and raspberry, taut, pure and clean citrus acidity all combining with great precision. Juicy fleshiness coats the mouth with silky texture. There is real intensity and weight here on the palate, a classic savoury hint, and the balance is such that it remains delicate and neat on the refreshing and long, persistent finish.
Rosé 2016 Magnum
Magnums of Gusbourne wines are few and far between as we produce very limited numbers of them. Wines tend to age more slowly in larger formats, with the colours becoming deeper and darker and aromas fresher, but less evolved. This wine will be delicious now, but will also certainly improve with further ageing.
Delicate, pale and light pink in appearance, the nose of our Rosé 2016 brims with more intense aromas of soft summer berries, wild strawberry and developed fresh pastry notes. There is a floral character to this wine, which combines beautifully with the soft red fruits, cranberry and ripe cherries, on the palate. A vibrant citrus streak appears on the finish which is persistent, tightly driven and focussed.

What's Your Sparkling Style?
Making fine wine is a slow, measured procession of individual steps – each with its own terminology, not always fully understood outside the cellar door. Here we explain the final step in the process, known as dosage.
In the Pink: A Rosé for All Seasons
A favourite in all seasons, perfectly chilled rosé hits its stride as the mercury climbs and more than holds its own on cool-weather menus too.
The Saxon Shore Way
Pity the poor Romans. After all their hard work civilising Britain for 366 years, the waves of invading barbarians became too much to bear. Abandoned fortifications pepper the Saxon Shore Way, a 153-mile route from Gravesend to Hastings that passes through the Gusbourne estate.
