Laura Rhys MS has been appointed to a new full-time post at Gusbourne, the leading English wine estate.

As a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers, and past holder of the UK Sommelier of the Year Title (in 2009), Ms Rhys’ appointment sets a new standard for this field of expertise amongst English wine producers.

Having most recently overseen the award-winning wine list at one of London’s finest restaurants (La Trompette), Ms Rhys joins the Gusbourne team in early June, and intends to continue in her UK and global wine judging roles (which have previously included the Decanter World Wine Awards, the Imbibe Sommelier Wines Awards, Bacchus Wine Awards in Madrid and UK Sommelier of the Year).

Her position will cover Gusbourne’s development both overseas and in the UK, at a time when Gusbourne is already listed by some of the finest luxury stores (Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason, Berry Bros. & Rudd) and served by some of the most highly regarded restaurants (such as Simon Rogan's l’enclume and Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner).
